A black, extra sharp snap-off blade is suitable for cutting in compact and hard glue, or other materials where extreme sharpness is required.

The black blade is optimized for painters and wallpaperers. The black blade has a higher hardness (64HRc) than the standard version and is specially ground which gives the blade an extreme sharpness. 

In principle, you can use it anywhere where you need a precise cut. Durability is not the best but the cut is extraordinary.
